Matthew Swan Audio

Matthew is a record producer, sound engineer and audio editor with wide experience across the recorded classical music industry. A graduate of the University of Edinburgh, his work spans the full range of the repertoire, from ancient instruments to electronics-infused contemporary works, and has featured in Gramophone, BBC Music Magazine and on BBC Radio 3.

His experience in realising the ideas of musicians and composers has led to chart-topping recordings and nominations from the leading international music press. Described by independent producer Andrew Keener as a natural in the recording studio, an empathetic presence whose people skills are as astute as those of his musicianship, Matthew brings rigour, warmth and genuine musical understanding to every session.

As well as running his own recording services business, Matthew operates as the lead audio engineer and producer for Zip Tie Studio - a specialist classical music production company.
